Verification
Background Verification Services in India
Documents are the easiest part of a background to fabricate, and the hardest part to verify by looking at them. Everything here is confirmed with the institution or employer that issued it.
Why document checks miss what matters
A convincing degree certificate, experience letter or salary slip can be produced in an afternoon. What cannot be fabricated is the institution's own record, the former employer's HR confirmation, or the fact that a listed previous employer has no record of the person at all.
The discrepancies we find most often are not forged documents. They are inflated designations, employment dates stretched to cover a gap, a qualification that was begun but never completed, and a reference whose phone number belongs to a friend rather than a manager.

For overseas employers
Screening Indian hires for employers abroad
Companies in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Gulf and Australia increasingly hire in India — remote engineers, offshore teams, nurses and skilled workers on employment visas. India has no national criminal database and no single identity trace, so screening is done the way it works here: at source.
With the candidate's written consent, as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 expects, we confirm degrees with the issuing university, employment with past employers, addresses by visit, and court history through the e-Courts records of the districts where the candidate has lived. Reports are in English, in the same format for every candidate, and show the source of each finding.
What an overseas employer receives
- Degree confirmed with the university, not from the certificate
- Employment dates and role confirmed with past employers
- Address verified by a physical visit
- District court record search where the candidate has lived
- Nursing, medical or CA registration confirmed with the council
- A consent form and report format agreed with your HR team
Method
How this service runs
Define the role risk
A warehouse supervisor and a finance controller need different checks. We scope to the role rather than selling a fixed package.
Consent
Where the subject is a candidate or employee we advise obtaining written consent — it is good practice, increasingly expected under Indian data protection law, and makes institution checks substantially faster.
Source verification
Employers and institutions contacted directly. Documents are used as a starting point, never as the evidence.
Field confirmation
Address and residence verified physically where the role warrants it.
Status report
Each claim marked verified, discrepant, partially verified or not obtainable, with the basis stated.
What it costs and how long it takes
₹8,000 – ₹25,000 per subject for standard checks. Senior roles with multiple employers, cities or directorship analysis run higher.
Your written quote is fixed after a free scoping call, and it will not change based on what we find. If the budget available does not match what the case genuinely requires, we will tell you that rather than running an underscoped enquiry that cannot answer your question.
Where we run this service
Run by our investigators in every city listed and managed from our Jaipur head office.

FAQs
Questions about background verification
It is good practice to take written consent and most employers include it in the offer paperwork. It also speeds things up considerably, because universities and previous employers respond much faster when the candidate has authorised the check. We will advise you on the wording.
Typically four to eight working days. The variable is almost entirely institutional response time: some universities confirm within two days, some take three weeks. If you have a joining date, tell us and we will say honestly whether it is achievable.
Partly, and we will be explicit about which parts. India-side employment, education and records we verify directly. For overseas employment we can verify what is properly checkable from here and assess the documents provided, but we will not imply full verification of a foreign employer we cannot independently reach.
Yes. Tenant verification usually covers identity, current and previous address, employment or income source, previous landlord reference and litigation check. It is one of our quicker and lower-cost services.
That is their right, and it is information in itself. We will still carry out checks that rely only on public records and professional enquiry, but we will tell you clearly which verifications could not be completed rather than presenting a partial check as a full one.

Describe the situation in a few lines. You will get an honest answer about whether it can be verified, what it would involve and what it would cost — before any commitment.
