For clients in Canada
Private investigator in India for clients in Canada
Canada is our second-largest overseas source of work, and the enquiry profile is distinctive — heavily weighted towards Punjab and Gujarat, and heavily weighted towards property.
Why Indo-Canadian clients commission verification in India
Canada's Indian-origin population is proportionally the largest of any Western country, and its concentration matters for the kind of work we are asked to do. The Punjabi community in the Greater Toronto Area and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia has deep and continuing landholding connections in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan — and ancestral property held across a generation of emigration is exactly the situation in which possession, transaction history and the record position drift apart.
The second large stream is matrimonial. A Canadian permanent residency or citizenship is a material factor in Indian marriage negotiations, which creates pressure to overstate on both sides and, in a minority of cases, produces marriages entered into primarily for immigration purposes. Verification before the engagement is substantially cheaper than the alternative.
The third is study and work migration. Families increasingly ask us to verify an agent, a college admission or a job offer in India before money is transferred.
Most requested from Canada
- Ancestral land in Punjab: who is in possession, and what the record says
- Pre-matrimonial checks where PR or citizenship is part of the match
- Education agents, admission letters and job offers in India
- Relatives managing family property who have stopped reporting
- Supplier and import-partner checks for Canadian businesses
- Welfare checks on parents in Punjab, Gujarat or Kerala
Time zones. Toronto and Vancouver clients typically message a window on WhatsApp; we call inside it. Evening Eastern and morning Pacific both work well against Indian business hours.

What Canadian clients should know
Punjab land records are online. Possession is not.
Punjab's record of rights, the jamabandi, can be viewed online, and many families assume that settles the question. It shows ownership and cultivation as last entered, which can be years behind reality. Mutations (intkal) after a death are often never filed, and the person actually farming the land may not be the person the record names. We read the record, then send someone to the village to see who is in possession and on what understanding.
Marriage, sponsorship and good faith
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada refuses spousal sponsorship where it finds a relationship is not genuine or was entered into mainly to acquire status. The worry runs both ways: families in Canada fear a proposal motivated by PR, and families in India fear a Canadian groom whose status, job or earlier marriage is not as described. Verification before the engagement costs far less than either problem afterwards, and the dated report is a record that you checked in good faith.
Education agents
In 2023 hundreds of Indian students in Canada learned that admission letters arranged through an education agent in Jalandhar had been forged. An agent's office, history, complaints and past students can all be checked in India before any fee is paid. It takes days, and it is one of the most useful checks a family can commission.

Commissioning a case from Canada
A Toronto morning is the Indian evening, and a Vancouver evening is the Indian morning, so Canadian clients usually send a window on WhatsApp and we call inside it. The scope and fixed quote come by email in rupees with an indicative Canadian-dollar figure, and payment is an international transfer to the firm's account. We never ask a Canadian client to pay through a relative, an agent or a personal account — treat any agency that does as a warning sign.

FAQs
Questions from Canada clients
Yes. The record work involves nobody in the village, and the site visit is made as an ordinary local enquiry that never mentions you. If a particular relative must not learn of it, tell us at the start and the visit is planned around them.
Yes — the reverse of most Canadian enquiries, and just as common. Our investigators in Canada check his stated employer, city and living situation while our team in India checks the family, any earlier marriage and the property claims. One combined report goes to the family. See NRI marriage investigation.
No investigator can read intent, and we will not pretend to. What we establish is whether the facts presented are true — job, income, education, marital history, family — and whether anything material has been concealed. Arrangements made mainly for status almost always depend on something being concealed.
Yes, on your written instruction. We supply facts and documents; we do not give immigration advice, and anything submitted to IRCC should go through your immigration consultant or lawyer.
